Show SURGICAL OPERATIONS. Last week Dr. Ormsby, was called upon to treat the injured arm of a boy about twelve years old, who with his father reached Utah with the last company of emigrants. While on board ship the boy fell and broke the elbow. The limb had not been properly treated, or else the boy had further injured it, for, when he applied to the doctor, the joint was stiff, and very crooked. The doctor broke it over again, re-set it, and has succeeded in making a good arm of it. On Sunday last the doctor set the collar bone of a young lady from the other valley, who had had the misfortune to break it. |
