THE price of horses in this county is higher, probably, than was ever known before, and the demand for them is almost equal to the supply. Prospective railroad contracts explain the matter. DR. LAMOREAUX has on exhibition four fine Prescott organs, and he invites conference visitors to call in and see them. Parties contemplating the purchase of an organ would do well to examine the Prescott 45 MR. E. E. RICH of Denver is making a brief stay in Logan, buying wheat for some of the largest firms in Denver. Parties having wheat for sale in car load lots would do well to see him. He may be found at the Logan house during his stay in town. 35 OUR neighboring town of Providence is a beautiful place and has many commendable features and numerous attractions. But its reputation is suffering in one respect of late. It is asserted that there are several places within its limits where intoxicants may be obtained, and there is positive evidence that parties from Logan have lately went to Providence and there obtained the wherewith to get tipsy. The fact that there is at present no commissioned magistrate in the precinct should make no difference in the morals of the town, and this illicit disposal of liquors should be stopped. |
