Show Indians Adrift Thirsty Many Days. Victoria, . C A dispatch from Ucluelct says that two Indians who were lost off the dealing, schooner Thomas F. Bayard and brought In by the schooner Mnrkland were adrift In an open canoe for 13 daya with only threo sea biscuits as food, and no water wa-ter for ten days. The Indians allotted allot-ted themselves one Inch of biscuit a day. After ten days rain came and water was caught In a sail, When hope was almost gono they killed a fur seal and cooked the carcass in tho bottom of the boat. On the fourteenth day they landed at Bristol bay, lint-tnak lint-tnak Island, and were rescued by tho steamer Dora at Hnlkoftskl. |
