Show THE STOCK AGAIN. H yhen anything becomes a iruis- ance, it is time it is abated, and the Stock running at large, is a nuisance nuis-ance and we quote a portion of the Ordinance concerning the same, which is entitled, "An Ordinance, concerning trespass and animals being herded and running at large. ' ' "Sec. 2. No cattle, horses, mules, sheep, goats or hogs, shall be allowed al-lowed to run at large or be herded within the Corporate limits of this City, and all such animals, so found, may be taken up by any person and driven to the Precinct Pound, or may be taken in charge by the City Marshal or any of his deputies, and the owner of said animals shall be liable to pay a fine in any sum not exceeding Ten Dollars for each animal." The Marshal is prepared to receive re-ceive all animals that may be driven driv-en to the Street Pound, and he will pay for the trouble of so doing. If people will not keep their animals out of the street, let them suffer the consequences. What good is law if it is tranip-led tranip-led on by the people ?( !) We say enforce the law! or repeal it, and let everybody turn their animals into the street to run at large, so bhat our City waters can be a little more contaminated than they now are! |
