Show Benchers Agree On One Ditch Plan is for Each District to Use i5,6fi0 Wfirlh of Bonds and ' Construct One Canal Over the Harmston Survey. It is a very gratifying fact to -this section-not only to the llMrVners directly di-rectly concerned but to every resident herc-that the two Blue bench irrigation districts are getting together and are unanimous on the plan of building but one ditch. At the mass meetings of landowners! held last Saturday, the following reso-'. o tution for presentation to the boarcT6T directors in each district,' was passed : Resolved : That the Upper Blue Bench Irrigation district pay Blue Bench Irrigation Districh No. 1 a ten thous-, and dollar bonus, payable in bonds of said district; that the sum of one hundred hund-red and twenty-five thousand dollars be contributed by each district thereafter to be used for the construction of one ditch, on the Harmston route, for -botrf districts, each to share equally in canal." The resolution1 passed unanimously in the upper district, and with but two isrerrting votes in the lowen i On Monday morning at Jos. Thompson's Thomp-son's house on the bene'h a joint, meeting of both boards of directors9 was held, attended dy all six directors1 and the tvo secretaries. On motiorr unanimously carried the secretaries? were instructed to transmit the acts of the understandings reached to the' attorneys of thir respective companies'" and request them to draw up arK agreement to be signed by both dis ' tricts.' The secretaries were also ittstructecf to write Engineer Harmston' to ask for' bids for a 140 cubic foot canal, and to also furnish estimates for a steel flume' on the survey with a capacity of 200 cubic feet; The secretaries were also instructed' : to meet with the directors of the two' old coporations cwniiig the water filings covering the Blue bench and arrange'' fcr the transfer of the water filings to . the district. |
