C, are watching, their husbands as ever be fore and the husbands are watching themselves more closely as the re suit of a revival meeting that i3 be ing held there. Rev. B. F. McLen don, the evangelist, has 85 $10 bill, instead of dimes in addition to the "moral victory." At the closing meeting -of the revival re-vival series McLendon leaned ovei the pulpit and said he had an important im-portant announcement to make. "It has come to my knowledge that there is a certain man in Wash ington who has not been true to hit family or his religion and who hat not been leading an upright life.'-' McLendon said. "This man is in the congregation tonight. If he wil. deposit a $10 bill in the collection plate it will be taken as a token of his repentance and nothing further will be said. If, he fails tQ do thi. I warn him that I will announce hi name." When an inventory of the collec tionwas taken it showed, it is said 85 ?10 bills and five notes asking the minist'er to "keep qiet for God': sake," and promising to pay the $1( in the morning. Orrin Smith is enjoying a visit from his father, John Smith, of Heber. James Foote of Altonah is the guest of his daughter, Mrs. J. C. Nelson. Ephriam McMillan was re-elected director of the Upper Blue Bench Irrigation District at the regular election on December 6th. Howard Arrowsmith of Fruitland and Adaline Brooks of Duchesne were niarried by Bishop Shelton during the week. |
