Elder Wallace Gailey officiated. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph M. Giles, Tabiona; and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. David E. Nichols, Oasis, Utah. The bride attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Mr. Stewart attended the College of Southern Utah and the University of Utali. A wedding shower and dance were held April 23, in the Tabiona Ta-biona Ward Chapel, honoring the young couple Music for the social occasion was played by the Art Smith Orchestra, Gusher. The decor was themed to "April Love. " Red and white were the colors chosen for the decor. Bridal attendants were Miss Joan Ivie, maid-of-honor; Misses Lila Jean Webb and Janet Ja-net Josie, bridesmaids. Flower girls were Jan Giles and Penny Martin. The best man duties were performed by Ralph Nichols, brother of the bridegroom. For the reception, the bride chose a floor-length A -line taffeta bridal gown with a lace bodice. A pearl -trimmed veil cascaded shoulder-length. The train of the bridal gown was made from the' same material as the bridal gown. The gown was fashioned with long -tapering sleeves, which came to a point at the hands. The neckline was high and rounded. Red and white roses were arranged for the bridal bouquet, which was tied with white satin ribbon streamers. The bride's mother chose a pink-bonded knit dress for the reception; and the bridegroom's bride-groom's mother donned a beige lace dress for the affair. Attendants wore red and white dotted swiss frocks, and each carried red roses. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with deep-red deep-red roses placed on the white frosting. Miniature replicas of the bride and groom in traditional tradi-tional attire, topped the huge cake. The wedding in the Temple was enjoyed by three generations, genera-tions, who went to the Temple for the first time - Mr. and Mrs. George A. Giles, paternal grandparents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph M. Giles, parents pa-rents of the bride; Mr. and MpS. Voy Dean Stewart, the bride and bridegroom. Program numbers, given at the reception, included a vocal trio by Sandra Wadley, Dawn a Wadley, Susanne Lewis; a piano solo by Mrs. Karen Gleave; and a selection of vocal duet numbers num-bers by Darrell Josie and Mrs. John A. (Nola Josie) Reid, brother bro-ther and sister of the bride's mother. Ralph Erickson, Tabiona, Ta-biona, was master of ceremonies for the program. The young couple will make their home in Salt Lake City, where he is employed as a machinist ma-chinist for Litton Industries, Inc. |
