Show TabionaNews by Florence Turnbow Lloyd Webb left for Missouri Miss-ouri Wednesday by train. Mr. and Mrs. Lional Webb took him to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Sunday a family gathering was held in his honor at the Webb home. Mr. and Mrs. Len Mills and family of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Webb of Salt Lake City were visiting at the Webb home. Mrs. Wanda Ivie spent several days visiting her families fam-ilies in Salt Lake City at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry White, Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ivie, and Mr. and Mrs. Darreld Ivie and family. Miss Faun Carlile left this week for Provo where she will attend BYU. She was at the Utah State University, but will assume her schooling at BYU. Grant Williams, Altamonts Seminary teacher, gave a wonderful sermon on the welfare wel-fare assignment that has been given every member of the church. Also on keeping the Sabbath Day holy. Sunday evening at the Sacrament Meeting, Verl Tucker who is a member of the National Guard of Vernal and a teacher at Altamont High School, talked on "Freedom and Country". Mr. and Mrs. Larry Defa and family membership was read and approved back into the Tabiona Ward. Susanne Lewis of Salt Lake City spent the week visiting her family, Mr. and Mrs. , Elvin Lewis. Doyle Turnbow of Murray was visiting his parents Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. Little Amy Giles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Giles, fell from the bed last week onto a toy that was on the floor breaking a rib. She is getting along fine. The M Mens team played a practice game with the " State Prison team last Tuesday evening. The prison team won. Men who went from Tabiona were Dale Gines, Arthur Fabrizio, Gary DeLange, Boyd Turnbow, Nolen Giles, Dennis Jones, Brent and Jerry Lee, and Danny Fabrizio of Salt Lake City. Ralph Smith, Joe Rhoades, Frank Clark, Angie Lewis and Florence Turnbow enjoyed the day Monday going through the Salt Lake Temple. Joe Rhoades stayed in Salt Lake a few days and went to visit at Provo with Mr. and Mrs. George Clements and family. His daughter, Delia, was at the Utah Valley hospital hospi-tal recovering from an operation. oper-ation. This is the new address of Steven Rhoades who is in Saigon: Pfc Steven L. Tabiona Elementary music classes, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6tL grades are organizing a Flutophone Band. This is to help teach basic music fundamentals funda-mentals to the children. Mrs. Rene L. Morin will be the instructor for the band. A Musicale was enjoyed by everyone Tuesday evening at Mutual- Mrs. Afton Giles 'was dressed appropriately as Mitch Miller, leading the' group in various songs. Carol Jones accompanied on the piano. Teresa EUertson arid Wilda Wadley sang two songs playing their ukulalas. Two numbers were sang by the MIA Maids and Laurel classes. Mrs. Rene Morin led the group, accompanied by Joy Turnbow. Games were played later. Popcorn balls were the treat. Try-outs for a play were held afterward. |
