Show ALT AMONT - MT EMMONS I Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Denver of Taft, California was visiting friends and relatives here this week. They were accompanied by their son, Earl, who had just finished his two year term with the U. S. Navy. Earl re-enlisted re-enlisted for six more years and will be on patrol duty in Vietnam. Viet-nam. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman and Randy motored to Provo Monday for business and pleasure plea-sure trip. The Altonah American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary Unit 54 was busy Saturday by observing Poppy Day. They were calling all over town and visiting the homes selling poppies to remember the disabled veterans. Miss Josephine Secakuku of Torrance, California is spending spend-ing two weeks here visiting her sister, Lois LaRose. They went to Whiter ocks Saturday to see the annual Ute Bear Dance. A wedding reception and dance was held at the Cultural Hall Saturday for Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goodrich (nee Zelva Allied). They were married May 27th in the LDS Temple. Thirty -six seniors graduated from Altamont High Tuesday,' May 24th. Many of the graduates grad-uates left for the big cities to seek summer employment while others remained to help their parents farm. Mrs. Zella Bennion has left the hospital in Salt Lake and is staying with Mr. Lloyd Crosby in Salt Lake to recuperate for two weeks before returning home, Mr. Waldo Hansen, who has been in the Roosevelt Hospital for two weeks after suffering a heart attack, will return to his home this week. The Altamont Riding Club met Wednesday evening at the rodeo grounds to re -organize the club and welcome new members into the club. Mr. Kenneth Carter gave instructions on how to pleasure ride. |
