Show The battlefield is strewn with bodies after the American people completed their weekend of wreck -reaction. Casualties far exceeded the V.et Nam war for this month. How long are Americans going to put up with this carnage on the highways? It frankly is almost unbelieveable that this many people have died right here in the United States under our very noses. Memorial Day is over and it was highlighted by wounded Viet Nam veterans being denied the pleasure plea-sure of watching a show in a Hilton hotel because the guests might be shocked and depressed. And secondly a young negro green beret soldier killed in Viet Nam somehow couldn't be buried in the 'home' town cemetery plot. This rings a bell and somewhere I remember someone else who couldn't find any room in an Inn. In addition, no white city officials could find the time to attend the services. What did this young man die for? i ....... How political minded are you? Most voters go txthe poles, proud that they are doing then-civic then-civic duty, but with the idea of "Leave the politics to the politicians." politi-cians." Some wise person said that if freedom is lost in America Amer-ica it is more likely to be lost by political decay then by an attack from the outside. The three years between 18 and 21, the three years when these young people are not allowed to vote, may cost us our government. (EDITOR'S NOTE) To Mr. Valentine and over 21 year-olds Usually it is suggested by adults to their children, "Don't sniff glue, it will make you sick, especially since the kids wouldn't think of it at all until the parent suggested it. Also, "Don't put beans in your ears;" "Don't play around old freezers and get in them, you can't breathe in them. " How in the heck does a kid know if he doesn't try it. I am sure it would be pleasing pleas-ing for over 21 year olds to . blame the way the world is run. on 18 year olds. They blame everything else that is wrong on them. |
