H Steele 27 who died at his home Friday morning of a heart ail ail- ment He had been seriously ill all winter Brought up in the newspaper business Don as he was familiarly familiarly familiarly famil famil- I called in Duchesne was employed employed employed em em- on the Garfield County News in Panguitch while he was still a school boy He worked there until the late summer Bummer of 1935 when he came to Duchesne and was employed as linotype operator on the Record His w wife e Nina Hatch Steele came to Duchesne shortly afterward and was was employed as stenographer in the Farm Security office until its removal to Roosevelt Roosevelt Roosevelt Roose Roose- velt last summer Started Newspaper They left Duchesne last August for Kanab to establish their own newspaper but after a short time had to abandon the venture because because because be be- cause of Dons Don's failing health They moved back to Panguitch and just before his last fatal illness Don had taken over the operation of a a service station there Surviving are his widow his father Parley Steele two two half i brothers and a half sister all aU of Panguitch Mr and Mrs 1 Donald Peterson from Duchesne attended the funeral funeral funeral fun fun- eral services |
