A. A Hollenbeck has been spending the past few weeks preparing his brief in defense of the c case aye he won yon in the district court recently against the State Land Board and which the state has appealed to the Supreme court Judge Hollenbeck who vho is well over suet 80 years Yeats of age has spent years pondering the law v in in this case but never before has he been able to get the case into court The order of the County Commissioners last fall to defend the case i in n the district court gave him the opportunity he had wanted anted and his successful defense of the case at that time was vas called the crowning crown crown- ing achievement of his carreer as an attorney Hours were spent in in preparing the case from the information he had studied out in the past years and many additional hours have been spent in in the preparation preparation preparation of the brief which has now nov been sent to the Supreme Supreme Supreme Su Su- Su- Su preme court for its consideration in m deciding the case Just what one would call a crowning achievement over a achievement is as yet unwritten un i but if the Judge wins vins the case casein in the Supreme court and it looks like his chances of doing just that ai are e really really really re re- re- re ally good Duchesne county and all the other county governments in in the state will viII have real eal cause to remember remember remember re re- re- re member his name with appreciation We know v not yet how v many years th the Judge will vill be able to continue with his surprising vitality but regardless of what the years may yet bring for him hinl we ve doubt if he will ever again put into anything the time and energy he has put into this case We hope it is decided in his favor not only for the great personal satisfaction it must give him but for the relief it will vill bring to the taxpayers of the county 11 0 |
