C Alford a traveling l lecturer durer from Portland Oregon on duty for the Corps Area of the Civilian Conservation visited the Moon Lake Camp on Friday and Saturday He gave an Interesting Inter inter- r p. esting lecture on some of the scenic scenic seen seen- ic lc wonders of the west He took us through Zions Zons Canyon Bryce Yellowstone and Grand Canyon describing some of the enchanting scenery which surrounds these beauty spots discussing the general gen gen- general gen I eral cral geological survey of those j beautiful rock formations His lecture was very Interesting and enjoyed by all of the Ule members of the company who were present Mr Alford is a very ery well educated educated edu edu- educated geologist and has spent much of his time in the study of geology He has visited over camps and lectured on the subjects mentioned above He left Saturday evening for forthe forthe forthe the Bridgeland camp where he Mr Whitlock educational adviser of J this camp and Mr Morris of the Bridgeland camp are to journey to the Dinosaur fields south of Vernal Venial His visit was en I much and we sincerely wish that he will return again within the tho very near future c C c Another Skipper Arrives Captain George Moore former Commanding Officer of the Bountiful Bountiful Bountiful Boun Boun- camp near Salt Lake City arrived arnved into our camp on Nov 22 Captain Moore was assigned to this company by the District Commander Commander Commander Com Com- mander and will vill assume command of the company upon departure of Captain Bittman next month He was more than pleased wi with th I the condition of the llie camp and became became became be be- came acquainted with many of th the llie enrollees almost immediately upI upon upon up up- on his arrival Several members I of this company who were formerly formerly formerly form form- erly under Captain Moore were thrilled indeed upon renewing acquaintance acquaintance acquaintance ac ac- ac- ac with him We welcome welcom you to our camp Captain and we hope hop that we can do all in ou our power to make your stay an enjoyable enjoyable enjoyable en en- one c C c Basketball ball Having dug up their former basketball wearing apparel and with contented faces and laughing voices a group of 30 enrollees headed by Educational Adviser Mr Whitlock boarded the G.
