Show Oliver C. C Lockhart Passes in Salt Lake The sad news of the death of O. O C. C Lockheart reached Duchesne Duches Duches- ne Friday night He died at the home of his sister in Salt Lake Friday afternoon at o'clock Mr has been ailing aUing for several years jears his malady becoming becoming be be- coming more serious about three years ago At that time he rented rented rented re re- re- re his home in Duchesne and since that time has spent his time mostly with his sister in Salt Lake and his law in E. E J J. J Beggs in Park City The deceased ed died at the age of 76 years and from a complication ion of di disease disease disease di- di sease and Mr Lockhart spent a great many years of his life in Park City He was in business there for many years and served as county assessor for several years He came to Duchesne in 1915 and cast his lot on a ranch below town where he and his brother- brother law in-law E. E J. J Beggs were partners in farming He was later elected elected elected elect elect- ed county treasurer and a member mem member member mem mem- ber of the school board and served served served ed as its chairman for several years Mr Lockhart made many friends friends friends frie frie- and was a gentleman of the very highest type He was not only an outstanding gentleman neighbor but he stood very high and was prominent in the general welfare of the com corn Mr Lockhart was born in Pennsylvania December 8 1856 and when a young man came west He met Miss Alice Lusty at Coalville Coal- Coal Coalville Coalville ville and they were united in marriage and made their home hom in Summit county for many years previous to coming corning to Duchesne The deceased is survived by his widow one son Oliver C. C Lockhart Lockhart Loc Loc- of Ogden a daughter Mrs Hortense Louise Williams of Juneau Ju- Ju Juneau Juneau neau Alaska two grandchildren a brother J. J M. M Lockhart of Ely Nevada and three sisters Mrs Oliv OlWe Hutchinson and Mrs Lizzie Porter of Newcastle Penn and Mrs Eva J.
