Show SOUTHERN PART OF THE COUN- I TY IN LINE. Tho Merchants and Manufacturers' H association mado a very successful H "get acquainted" trip to Sandy on H Monday evening, tho special object of H which was to organlzo tho merchants H and others on a plan Hini'llar to tho H Merchants and Manufacturers' assocla- H tlon. Tho party, numbering consider- H ably over a hundred loft tho Short H Lino depot at 5:30 o'clock accompan- H led by Hold's band. They received H a most enthusiastic welcome not only H from tho Sandy people, but from dele- H gallons from Draper, Alta, Bingham H Junction, Rivcrton and other towns H down tlto lino. A good way for peoplo H to get acquainted is to break bread to- H gether. On this occasion that plan H was adopted. A fine supper was H served at Sandy, speeches wcro mado H by President Howlett and others and H a good deal was dono in tho way of H getting acquainted. H Tho Merchants and Manufacturers' H association has worked up a great doal H of enthusiasm among tho business men H and manufacturers of tho state. Thoy H havo determined to pull together for H tho upbuilding of Utah. Already tho H good effect of their efforts aro being H Tho brother association was organ- H ized under tho numo of tho "Jordan H Commercial & Producers' association," H with officers as follows: Hobor A H Smith, president; William Cooper, vice H president; Thomas Pago, sccrotnry.and H James Jensen, treasurer.
