Simple Burglar Alarm. A novel and apparently successful burglar alarm which was recently put up in tho storo of a Baltimore, Md grocer has tho merit of simplicity and cheapness. Ho placed over the door of the grocery an ordinary shovel, mmg on a nail so that when tho door opened the shovel would fall and make -a racket. Burglars visited the placo tho other night, tho shovel did all that was expected of it and tho burglars, alarmed by tho nose, took to their heels.
