Show Our Promise Department We have made arrangements with a number of competent and well known writers to have them furnish us with stories and articles of interest and importance. And negotiations are under way to secure the services of many other able contributors both in the literary and special feature field. We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in securing se-curing from Mr. John Weaver the rights to publish his series of ten stones on "Noted Female Gamblers of The West." The first one, entitled en-titled "Cheyenne Mary" appearing in this issue. The other stories are as follows : "Gussie Wynlock" (Arizona Girl.) I "Madam Moustache." "Calamity Jane." P "Belle Brandon." j xV "Madam Flint." "Cowboy Lillie." (Mary Sorensen). "Kid Toney" (Lucy Cameron.) "Canada Pacific Nell." In which order they will appear, one each week. These stories are typically western and are intensely interesting and in our judgment, judg-ment, are real literary productions. MANUSCRIPTS AND PICTURES. Contributions respectfully invited under following terms : Careful reading is given to all manuscripts manu-scripts received. Preference given to matter relating to the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain West, whether short stories, istorical or descriptive sketches, anecdotes, special articles, poetry or humor.
