Show SAD INTELLIGENCE. The sad information was received here on Monday afternoon that R. L. Harper of Goldfield, Nev., was dead. A few hours before the announcement announce-ment was received, the brothers here had received a telegram saying that his condition was critical and that he would probably not live through the day. Both announcements came as a severe shock, as it was not known that Mr. Harper was sick and his illness was of only a Jew days' duration. dura-tion. Pneumonia was Mic cause 01 death. Deceased was manager of the Goldfield Consolidated Water company, com-pany, and was one of the most popular pop-ular business men in that great camp. As the head of one of the biggest corporations- in Nevada, he had the respect and esteem of everybody with whom he icame in contact. Mr. Harper's Har-per's wife is a resident of Denver, and she left her home Sunday for Goldfield. She will be notified here of the death of her husband, and will remain here until the brothers go to Goldfield and return with the body. Interment will be in Denver. The brothers above spoken of have conducted a printing establishment here for several years, with which Truth has sustained extensive business busi-ness relations for some time. By their upright deportment and strict attention to Lusiness they have made ma friends, all of whom extend binccrc sympathy. |
