Show UTAH LEADS THE WORLD. I We are indebted to Mr. C. A. HJ Hickcnloopcr, member of the State H Board of Horticulture, for the fol H lowing information: Mr. Samuel S. H Ferrin of Pleasant View, Weber H County, has a small peach orchard H consisting of thirty Eflbcrta trees, H J ten years old, planted twenty feet A apart, from which during the yea.' jH 1907, he received the magnificient sum H of $612.25 from the following per- HJ sons. H Mr. Jas. Jensen, a local shipper H bought 610 cases at 80 cents per case, H which equals $48800; also 72 cases H at 75 cents per case, which amounted H to $37-6o; twenty-one bushels were H sold from the orchard at $1.25 per H bushel, $26,25, and 8 cases were sold H to James Jensen at 80 cents per case, H $6.40; making a total of $612,25, or tfl $20.40 per tree. Mr. Hickenlooper challenges any H county in the state to show a better HJ yield than this. HJ Deseret Farmer. M |
