Pleasant, Pleas-ant, who hns been visiting with Miss Mnrgarot Whitney, has returned to her home. ttf wt An unusual but very pleasing entertainment enter-tainment was the toy dance given on the evening of Christmas day. A "toy dando" at which Clarence Bamberger nnd Harold Lamb were tho hosts. Tin hall was transformed into a scene from fairyland, the decorations having been devised to represent Toyland. An immense Christmas tree filled the central part of the room, and on this wero hung gifts for all the guests, each of them capable of making tin. most deafening noise. Red bells and Chirstmas greens wero used on all sides and confetti In great quantities was used for many sham battles. On the lower floor the smoking and supper rooms wore nrarnged, and these too, showed tho holiday decorations of red and green, great bunches of peppei trees giving tho colors. Montague Ferry home and that at the F. A. Druehl homo in ' East First South street. Both of them i were strictly family affairs. At the Ferry home an all-day party was held, a tree in the morning for the little folks being followed by a dinner, at which tho guests wore Dr. J. O. Edy of Grand Rapids, K. A. Truman, the fathers of Mrs. E. S. and Mrs. W. M. Ferry, nnd Mr. and Mrs. 13. S. Ferry and their children. The guests at the Druehl homo were Mr. nnd Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Druehl, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Ogles-by, Ogles-by, Mr. and Mrs Frank Shrader and tho Druehl nnd Oglesby children. Governor and Mrs. John C.
