Show The Pro-Thaw newspapers take great delight in picturing District Attorney At-torney Jerome as a kind of an ogre in his cross-examination of Mrs. Harry Thaw. We. fail to sec any justification justifica-tion for it. Mrs. Thaw's story told on direct examination had all the appearance ap-pearance of being for the most part a carefully concocted piece of fiction told to the jury for the purpose justifying jus-tifying the killing of White. The district attorney's cross-examination had for its object the bringing out of the facts. There was nothing either eith-er merciless or cruel in the manner of it. |
