" Dec-lighted," responded the "Yankee Tourist" comedian. "When I met President Roosevelt he asked me to do the same thing." "Stop that!" warned the newspaper newspa-per man. "No joking! 'Dicky' Davis introduced intro-duced me to the President when we played in Washington, and his excellency ex-cellency said: " 'Hitchcock, how in the world did M you get that head of hair?' H " 'My mother made it.' I replied. H "'Ah,' said the President. ' I am H profoundly interested.' H " 'Yes, ma plastered my hair with H .sugar and water every night. That H made it grow and stay down so flat." H Incidentally Hitchcock's long straw H blonde hair is so unique that a dar- H ing vaudeville performer who was H giving an imitation of the comedian H recently, said, apologetically from H the stage: H " I wisli Mr. Hitchcock would get H his hair died and cut it differently, H for any imitation of him until 'he docs H so is not likely to be successful."
