Show WATER TOR PROJECT FOR TOOELE COUNTY STILLA STILL A LIVE ISSUE A committee was appointed by the board of county commissioners at weir last regular meeting to be in attendance at an irrigation meeting held in salt lake city january 8 this committee was present along with representatives senta tives from several other counties of the state and discussed plans for water storage on the provo and weber rivers rivera prospects are very promising for new water projects to be started in these counties and tooele thoele county stands in ill a very favorable condition to be considered although the plans are not complete yet the committee who attended the meeting from here are very optimistic about our position in this program another meeting will be held early caily in february to consider the report of an engineer who is now working to determine retba amount nt of waters water available U vesti gation of these projects will also be taken up at this meeting there is sufficient cent water in in view now if brought into rush and tooele valleys by means of a canal to water acres it is very doubtful if at the present time there is ia acres being irr irrigated i gated in the whole of tooele thoele county so we can immediately recognize the immense value of such a project which has haa already mirdad y proved very favorable by survey which have been made sooner or later the tillable land in ili tofele tooele and rush bush valleys will all be brought under irrigation arri gation the increase in the value a of land along with the scarcity of new land throughout the cou county ty available n to be brought under cultivation ti will certainly force this to an issue I 1 issue |
