art on the safe door 1 I wonder it if anyone can tell me why it Is customary to paint on the tha front door of a safe some sort of rural scene he be asked as he left the business office almost all sates safes have a lake with mith a couple of trees in the background or else a field with nith a stake and rider fence emblazoned blazoned em on the door perhaps it la is to give the idea that peace and quiet of the country type are to be found the sate safe theis may be some idea of soothing the mind of the beholder doubly just where tho the custom started I 1 do not know and what the significance Is 1 also la Is unknown to me
