Show missionary returns A x 0 f t 0 ff 40 miss larae worthington daugh ter of mr and mrs charles worth ington of grantsville Grants ville returned home april 2nd from the southern state mission where she served al most 21 months laboring in at lanta and waycross georgia bir ming mingham liam alabama and panama city florida on march 22 miss worthington began her trip home stopp ng over in atlanta for a two day missionary conference at which all the missionaries in the southern states mission were pre sent she continued on from there to washington D C and attended easter services at the beautiful T DS chapel in that city there she joined two other returning lady m missionaries 1 and the three of them went to new york and chicago on th the e way home arriving in time to attend their missionary reunion and april conference in salt lake city miss worthington reports that she enjoyed her labors in the south immensely Imm ensly the membership of the church Is growing and peo pie are becoming friendly and tol arant during the time that she i was vas in the southern states mission 1 stakes were organized in florida and south carolina miss worthington is the third member of her family to fill an honorable mission her father mr charles H worthington served as a missionary in the central states mission from 1913 to 1915 her brother mr ivan worthington was called to sweden as a missionary when the war broke out he re turned to the states and finished his mission in the east central states mission miss eleanor van ness daugh ter of mr and mrs J A van ness returned home from boise idaho thursday evening she has been nursing at the elk home during the recent polio outbreak in idaho she will spend a month or so here before continuing her duties again house guest at the home of her son and daughter in mi law Is mrs bethia bethla anderson of grantsville Grants ville |
