Show final bites held for george mclaws tooele thoele pioneer george mclaws 90 and a resi dent of tooele thoele for 80 years died at his home in tooele thoele sunday at 1 15 a in of causes incident to age he was born march 9 1858 in salt lake city a son of john and jeann ross mclaws utah pioneers when he was ten years old the family moved to tooele thoele and his home has been here since his early schooling was in tooele thoele and as a young man he worked in the county and in idaho and wyoming riding the range and trailing cat tie tle he was married to ella herron december 30 1885 and they made their home in grantsville Grants ville for a short time and then moved to too ele mrs mclaws died in 1927 he was engaged in farming until he retired mr mclaws was a member of the church of jesus christ of lat ter day saints and diligent in church and civic duies he was one from the of plo pioneers whose lives were spent in building guilding up the country surviving are three sons and four daughters from his family mrs dora jette mrs nora smith mrs agnes bryan mrs ella dobson and george mclaws all of tooele thoele eugene mclaws of price and el bert mclaws of wendover there are 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren funeral services were held tues day at I 1 p in in the tooele thoele first ward church by howard clegg of the first ward bishopric speak ers were bishop john C bryan and president alfred L hanks burial was in the tooele thoele cemetery where the grave was dedicated by bish op carver bryan |
