Show 1 I 1 mrs morgan receives eagle award T JW I 1 f 4 t k 11 J taa k t WOW I 1 y j 17 44 0 j dw NO 10 4 N mrs gertrude R morgan is pic aured at her home admiring the civic service certificate awarded mrs gertrude morgan became the second woman to receive the eagles monthly civic service award at a program held in the FOE hall on thursday march 25 she was given this certificate on the basis of her community service in the past at present she is tooele thoele county chairman of the american bed red cross a position she has held for the last year mrs morgan was born in tooele thoele and received her early education here after attending tooele thoele high school for a year she went to salt lake and enrolled in the school to obtain domestic training she Is the wife of 3 W morgan superintendent of the sampling de apartment part ment at international smelting and refining company active in relief society work she is the mo ther of two sons and has five grandchildren one son walter V morgan lives in san francisco and the other ray W morgan is an electrical engineer and 5 year graduate of the university of utah he resides in burbank mrs morgan took the school cen sus three years and worked at the board of education office campil ing reports on this work she is captain of the millstream camp of daughters of the utah pioneers and secretary of the ladies republican club of tooele thoele county she was vice chairman of the red cross for three years and fund drive chair man for 2 years she worked at the USO club for 4 years during the war and was honored by be ing presented with a certificate of appreciation for her efforts in pro doting the sale of war bonds A mong her latest accomplishments is the completion of a course in home nursing given by the red cross presentation of the award was made by eagles president frank S stone her by eagles last thursday ev ening photo by W D bush |
