attend services for mrs brooks mr and mrs clide shields of bauer and mrs roy alsop of too ele attended funeral ces for their aunt mrs evelyn hook heath brooks in salt lake city on wed june 4 at the tenth ward chapel mrs brooks was bom born in tooele thoele march 6 1872 and was the last member of the family of her pio neer parents thomas foster and ann stevens hook who came to utah by handcart they arrived in salt lake city in 1860 and were called to settle in tooele thoele mrs brooks lived here until about afif teen years vears old and then moved to salt lake city her death occurred may 29 at the home of her daughter mrs W K ure of los angeles where mrs brooks has spent the last three years and since the death of her husband finley brooks she was a sincere and active member of the church of jesus christ of lat ter day saints she is survived by two children mrs mane marie ure of los angeles and dean heath of stockton califor nia and nine grandchildren sue russell student at the brig ham young university and house guest at the H S gillespie home for the past week left tuesday for her home in st louis where I 1 she will spend the summer with her parents mr and mrs H C bus rus sell
