' ftp 7bya LeMone With the election of Jeff Acerson as the new Mayor of Lindon City, an empty seat was left on the Lindon City Council. Twelve applicants applied for this position at the Lindon City Council meeting held February 18. As policy states the council coun-cil appoints the new member in a public meeting. After interviewing in-terviewing each of the twelve applicants publicly, a vote is cast by the council and three final candidates are consid ered. The final three are again interviewed publicly and a vote is again cast by the council. In the event of a tie, the mayor breaks the tie with his vote. In this situation there was no tie. The new position po-sition was filled with a 3 to 1 vote. As a result of that meeting meet-ing Carolyn Lundgren was appointed to replace Jeff Acerson. Ac-erson.
