On February 21 police contacted con-tacted the reporting partyvictim regarding a firearm and an MP-3 player that had been taken from his vehicle. The reporting party was unsure if the thefts occurred at his home in PG or while his vehicle was parked at his place-of place-of employment in AF the previous previ-ous evening. He discovered the items to be missing at his home on this date. The reporting party drove the vehicle to the police department to make the report so there was no evidence and has no suspect information. The reporting party had the serial number to the firearm, so it was entered through PGPD Dispatch in the NCIC system. A detective from the PGPD Investigations Inves-tigations Division was advised of the circumstances surrounding surround-ing this incident. The case will be referred to the Investigations Division for follow up. On February 24 officers responded to local business on a report of retail theft. The juvenile ju-venile suspect was detained and released to a parent with a citation. cita-tion. No further actions were taken. On February 26 police contacted con-tacted the reporting party at his request by phone regarding the theft of construction materials from a site where his home is being built at the above area. An officer responded to and inspected the scene but was unable un-able to identify any evidence. No suspect information is available. avail-able. Extra patrols were initiated initi-ated on the area and particularly this new construction site with swing and grave yard shift personnel per-sonnel through a PGPD Patrol Supervisor. This case was referred to PGPD Investigations Division for information purposes only. A juvenile male who is living liv-ing in a proctor home was cited for retail theft and for theft of lost property after admitting to his proctor mother of what he had done. The property was collected and will be returned to the respective owners. On February 27 officers responded re-sponded to an active new con struction site for high density housing. Upon investigation of- . . fleers found where construction materials had been forcefully removed and stolen from one of the buildings there. There was no evidence and no suspect information at this time. This case was referred to the PGPD investigations Division for follow fol-low up. An officer was dispatched to a theft incident at a local pharmacy store where the complainant com-plainant reported a male left the store with merchandise without paying for it. Officers responded to the store where a suspect was identified iden-tified by surveillance video. One adult male was later arrest- " Police" continued on Page 8 An officer made contact with the complainant regarding a stolen Ipod. The officer gathered gath-ered the information available, including possible suspect information, in-formation, and filed this report. The case was forwarded to Investigations In-vestigations for follow up. Police responded to a service ser-vice station in Pleasant Grove for a report of two juvenile females fe-males shoplifting. Upon the officers' arrival they found one juvenile female had shoplifted and another juvenile female obstructed ob-structed the investigation. On February 14 an alcohol restricted driver was arrested for DUI and for Possession of Marijuana in a drug-free zone. His vehicle was impounded-State impounded-State Tax. After he refused the chemical tests, a blood draw warrant was obtained and served. He was later released on a citation. An officer was dispatched to a criminal mischief incident at a local apartment complex where the complainant reported her police patrol vehicle was egged. Possible minor scratches to the paint were reported. This case will be closed, inactive, pending any suspect information. On February 16 an officer was dispatched to an attempted burglary of a residence. At this time there are no suspects. The suspect did not gain entry into the residence. On February 20 police were contacted by the reporting report-ing partyvictim at the PGPD regarding a forged check. The check was issued to the reporting report-ing party and has a signature on the back which is reportedly not the reporting party's. The reporting party obtained ob-tained the check from the suspect, sus-pect, who is her son. . The reporting re-porting party advised that she has not received the checks for the past six weeks and suspects that the suspect has been forging forg-ing the checks from January as well. The current whereabouts of the suspect is unknown. Police spoke with a PGPD Detective and apprised him of the circumstances circum-stances surrounding this case. The case will be referred to the PGPD Investigations Division for follow up. "Police" continued on Page 7 ed for the theft and booked into Utah County Jail. An officer was dispatched to an assault incident where the complainant reported her son was assaulted by a classmate in gym class. The male victim was reported to suffer from a broken collar bone during the incident. This case will be referred to the High School Resource Officer for further investigation. On February 28, 2014, officers of-ficers took a report of a stolen iPhone from the local high school. This case is currently being investigated. On March 1 police took a report from the reporting party victim of copper wire that had been stolen from a residential construction site. There are no suspects and no evidence. Additional Ad-ditional extra patrols were initiated initi-ated on the area and particularly on this new construction. On March 3 officers observed ob-served three individuals acting suspiciously near the Maver-ik Maver-ik at 700 South in Pleasant Grove. Officers contacted two of the individuals. The female was told by officers that she was free to leave. She was told to leave whatever she had stolen from inside the store. She placed a Strawberry Banana Ba-nana Zumex drink, valued at $2.05. The clerk verified that the female had not paid for the drink. Charges are being referred to Pleasant Grove Justice Jus-tice Court. On March 4 an officer spoke with a female regarding the theft of two bicycles from the front yard of her residence. There are no known suspects at this time. During an agency assist for Murray Police Department on March 5, an officer located a stolen license plate to a vehicle out of Orem. The officer also found Murray had recovered one out of Pleasant Grove. Sandy San-dy Police had arrested suspects in possession of the stolen plate out of Pleasant Grove. A victim reported damage to her car by an unknown person. per-son. No leads or suspect information infor-mation available. |
