Show Christmas Tree Lighting to be Celebrated in Pleasant Grove and Lindon A y. ' Ai A . . 1 ! ... i if The annual PG Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held on Monday, November 29, at 6 p.m. at the northwest corner of the Downtown Park, located at 100 South and Main Street. Santa Claus will be arriving on one of Pleasant Grove's fire engines to light the City Christmas Tree. Following the tree lighting, Santa will proceed to the lower level of the Pleasant Grove Library where the children will be able to sit on Santa's lap and tell him their Christmas wish lists. Each child will receive a bag of treats. On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Santa Claus will be in the PG Library lower level to kick off the holiday season. Children can attend and listen to Twilight Tales and hear Mrs. Santa telling stories. On December 6 at 6:30 p.m., Lindon City will light the city tree. Hot chocolate and candy canes will be distributed as citizens listen to music from the Rocky Mountain Elementary School Choir and hear Christmas messages from Mayor Dain and other community members. This is a fun, family friendly event sponsored by the Lindon Historic Preservation Commission and makes a great start to the Holiday Season. The event will be held next to the Lindon City Fire Station located at 35 West 60 North, in Lindon. Local students have decorated the city's tree in anticipation for the lighting ceremony on Monday. |
