Show Utah State Bar Assn. Meeting in Moab Southeastern Utah Bar is hosting a series of activities this weekend for members of the Utah State Bar Commission Commis-sion and the President of the Utah Bar. The purpose of the gathering gather-ing is a combination of business and social events. So often the area attorneys are not in close contact with Bar Association activities centering center-ing in Salt Lake City. This weekend of activities will serve as a familarization opportunity for all of the members involved. The last time the group met in southeastern Utah was in 1966. The business aspect will occur Friday afternoon, May 14, at 2 when the five Commissioners will meet with the local attorneys in the Council Chambers. Among other scheduled activities on Friday are: a noon luncheon for the attorneys at the Apache Restaurant, a wives luncheon at the Golden-Stake, Golden-Stake, and a dinner party at Mi Vida Lounge that evening with a social hour at 7 p.m. and dinner at 8. Three trips are in the offering Saturday for Bar members and their wives. They can choose between a day-long jeep trip to the main section of Canyonlands National Na-tional Park, a six-hour trip to Island in the Sky or a raft trip on the Colorado River. In attendance will be twelve Salt Lake City attorneys and twenty attorneys from south- , eastern Utah; that is Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan Counties. |
