Siiuree of funds 1 he district budget breaks down sources of funds as follows: federal, state, local in-kind, local cash, private donations, and client payments for services. The federal source accounts for fcO.S per cent of the district budget, and the state provides another 22.7 per cent. Client payments total 7.9 per cent, and the other sources account for less than 4 per cent each. The total cash money requested from the counties is .V8 per cent, or $174, Mo. These funds are being requested, but have not yet been appropriated by the respective county commissions. The district budget projects an appropriation request of $.11,704 from Grand County, $67,')K( from l-mery County, and $74,450 from Caibon County. There are 1 1 agencies which will request county funds, however only 7 of those lire asking for Grand County funds. They are the County Council on Aging, $2,000: Health District, $16,552; Allen Memorial Hospital. $1,H(8; Alcohol Recovery Center, $.1,000; Legal Services, $1,562; Mental Health, $6,412; and University School on Alcohol and Drugs, $.n a Detailed Information The various budgets detail information informa-tion on: personnel, fringe benefits, in and out-of-state travel, and expenses for communications, data processing, postage, pos-tage, rents on equipment and buildings, utilities, supplies, printing and binding, and training. In addition, blanks are left lor selling forth "other" current expenses, and capital outlay for equipment. A copy of the District 7-A Human Services budget is available for public inspection at the County Clerek's office. In addition, county commissioners each have a copy, and Grand County's representatives on the Human Services Advisory Council, Betty Dalton, Bob Greenberg and Adrien Taylor, have copies. I he Human Services Advisory Council was formed to study social programs in the, district and make recommendations on the basis of these studies to the three Councy Commissions and to the Southeastern Utah Association of Governments. In addition, the council acts in the role of citizen's advocate in relation to the agencies, when necessary. Number of Agencies Department of Social Services agencies ag-encies included in the study are: Adult Probation and Parole, Aging, Assistance Payments, Castle Valley Mobile Meals, Community Operations, Family Services, Health, Mental Health, Recovery Services Serv-ices and the University School on Alcoholism and Drugs. Other public agencies included are: Allen Memorial Hospital, association of Governments Human Services Planning, AOG Information and Referral, Carbon County Nursing Home, Castle Valley Workshop, Direction Services, Emery Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Job Service, Juvenile Court, Manpower, Vocational Rehabilitation, VISTA, and Youth Challenge Program. Private agencies whose budgets are included in the study are: Alcohol Recovery Center, Community Action Program, Legal Services, and Planned Parenthood. |
