Primary Hospital Penny Parade Gets Underway in February , The annual Primary Children's Hospital Penny Parade will be launched during February with the help of Utah's dairy industry, indus-try, which has provided 239. COO milk carton banks for flhe 1970 drive. These banks, the size of a haMpirit milk carton, have been distributed throughout Utah. Mrs. La-Vern' La-Vern' W. ParmTey, president of the hospital board of trustees, urges children and parents alike to use the banks for saving their contributions con-tributions to the Primary Children's Hospital. She expressed her appreciation appre-ciation to the dairy industry for its generous contribution for the 1970 Penny Parade. Primary Children's Hos- pital in Salt Lake City Serves Ser-ves children, throughout the world. "During 1969 we admittc'I 7,975 patients and in addition addi-tion we had 26,666 visits by youngsters at our outpatient clinics," said Kenneth C. Johnson, hospital administrator. adminis-trator. "These children came from 26 states and the countries of Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Fiji Islands, Mexico and Samoa." Mr. Johnson said that during dur-ing the past ten years over 50,000 patients have been treated at the hospital in addition to 160,000 outt-pat-ient visits at the clinics. These patients came from a total of 40 states and the District of Columbia and 17 foreign countries. . During the past year a rj residential treatment program pro-gram for psychiatric therapy was added to the hospital's services, Mr. Johnson said. Elaine Reeder, Brigham City, this year's Utah Dairy-Princess Dairy-Princess and a former Primary Pri-mary attender, urges Utah-ns Utah-ns to be -generous in their contributions for the hospital hos-pital during the 1970 Penny Parade. i , " |
