Show City Court action . . . Other than a number of minor traffic matters, things have been quiet in City Court recently. On Nov. 18, Charles Fred Cook appeared on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He entered enter-ed a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $200 fine and serve 40 days in the county jail. He was placed on 6 months probation and ordered order-ed to attend problem driver's school; and the jail sentence was suspended on payment of the fine and successful completion com-pletion of probation. Also on Nov. 18, Robin Kay Pogue appeared on a charge of issuing a' series of bad k checks. She entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $50 fine and serve 30 days in jail. The jail sentence was suspended and she was placed on 1 year probation. She was also ordered to make restitution on the bad checks. In addition to the usual terms of probation she was ordered to close her checking account and not open another during the period of probation. On Nov. 17 Mary Frances Madrid appeared for arraignment, arraign-ment, with counsel, on a charge of aggravated assault. She requested a preliminary hearing and this was scheduled schedul-ed for Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. On Oct. 27 William Zeiler appeared on a charge of driving during suspension. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $150 fine and serve 30 days in jail. The jail sentence was suspended sus-pended on payment of the fine. |
