Show 20 YEARS AGO Loren L. Taylor, forty-two-year editor and publisher of the Times Independent, announced an-nounced that he had leased his interests in the newspaper for a three to five year period to Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Spencer of Ouray, Colo. Mr. Taylor had accepted an appointment from Governor J. Bracken Lee to the Industrial Commission of the State of Utah. The annual spring speech clinic was to be held at the courthouse. court-house. The first meeting of the Kindergarten mothers moth-ers was held in the high school auditorium. President Francis Foy asked that all mothers donate fifty cents toward to-ward the films that were to be shown. Twelve mothers were present and enjoyed a three film series. Bill Meador, on leave from the United States Marines, discussed fighting in Korea at the Lions Club meeting held March 9.
