Show A Letter -from Pearl, lona and Barbara... Green River News Happenings New Book Scheduled. . . Mrs. Pearl Baker will put a new book, RIM-FLYING RIM-FLYING CANYONLANDS WITH JIM HURST, on the market about April 1. Jim tells such marvelous stories of his experiences flying off dirt strips in Canyonlands, that Mrs. Baker suggested they get some of the material on tape. Jim carried a tape recorder with him all last winter, and it is no wonder that in the book he never quits flying --most of it actually was narrated in the air. Jim Hurst is one of the real pioneers in the flying fly-ing business in this country. coun-try. In doing research for the book, Mrs. Baker learned that in a radius of some 100 miles there must be about 100 small dirt strips, most of them made especially for Jim, and from some of them only his planes have flown. , This is a new approach to Canyonlands, and with new material included, will add greatly to the public's interest and information in-formation on the mesas, buttes, canyons and rivers riv-ers of the wonderful Canyonlands Can-yonlands country.
