Show Beacon Facility Approved for Blanding Area Sen. Wallace F. Bennett, R-Utah, this week announced that a license for a radio-beacon radio-beacon facility at the Blanding, Blan-ding, Utah, Airport has been approved by the Federal Communications Commsision. Bennett explained, "An application ap-plication for a frequency assignment as-signment and license for an H-Marker facility at the airport air-port was made by the Utah Division of Aeronautics last August. However, we were still awaiting confirmation of the application when I urged FCC Chairman Resel Hyde in mid-December to expedite this action. "Mr. Hyde this week confirmed con-firmed the necessary concurrence con-currence of the government users of the band involved has been received and the station sta-tion license has been issued to Blanding." Sen. Bennett said, "This new radionavigation facility will be an important safety and convenience asset to pilots pi-lots and passengers who fly in the southern Utah area. We will continue our drive for better airport facilities and increased air route service ser-vice for the entire state." |
