Show Lovely refreshments were served ser-ved and the honoree received many beautiful gifts. Linger Longer club members met Tuesday evening as guests of (Mrs. H. R. Gust. Mrs. Peter Smith and Mrs. J. F. Barkle were invited guests. Prizes at contract bridge were won by Mrs. Ross M. Gushing, Mrs. Ted Robison and Mrs. G. T. Buckle. Dainty refreshments were served. Jack Cowdell called his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cowdell, from Camp Pendleton, Calif., recently. He also wished to tell everyone hello. Bride-Elect Complimented A shower was given Friday evening, February 23, in compliment com-pliment to Norma Cowdell at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cowdell, with .Mrs. Albert Ray and Mrs. Don Stoddard as cohostesses. Cootie and five hundred were played with prizes going to Mrs. Jean Milner, first; Mrs. Walter Murray, consolation and Mrs. J. J. Doyle house prize. For cootie first prize was won by Mrs. Wal-ly Wal-ly Beckstead, consolation by Mrs. Cal Forman, and traveling prize by Mrs. Dan Groves. Copperton Study Guild met Monday evening, February 2C, at the home of Mrs. Nona Car-rigan Car-rigan with Mrs. Norrene Smer-noff Smer-noff as cohostess. Twenty-two members were present. A business busi-ness meeting was conducted by Mrs. Neva Jensen, president. A food sale will be held at the Utah Power & Light Co. office on Monday, March 28, it was announced. All proceeds frorr, the sale are to be turned over to the Girl Scouts of Bingham district. dis-trict. Mrs. Helen Cunliffe, program chairman, introduced the guest speakers of the evening, Mr. and Mrs. James Jones of Bingham, who spoke on "A Trip to England" Eng-land" which they had taken last summer. They also showed colored col-ored moving pictures. Delicious refreshments were served. Next meeting of the Guild will be held at the home of Mrs. Anne Culbertson with Miss June Culbertson as cohostess on March 12th. Recent Bride Honored A lovely bridal shower was given in honor of Mrs. Clinton Coleman, nee Shirley Goodman, at the home of Mrs. Lawrence Coleman on Saturday, February 24. Cootie and five hundred were f layed. Prizes were won by Jule loughton and Jennie Gadd, consolation con-solation prizes went to Pearl Cheever and Sarah Swainston and house prize was won by La-van La-van Larson.
