Show Rock Club Holds Meet The Points and Pebbles Club of Moab held its monthly month-ly meeting at the local cluo house on West Center last Thursday evening, Feb. 10. Visitors attending were Gwen Lagergren, Kay Hackett and Ella Mae Loll of Salt Lake City. A - local elementary school teacher, Mrs. Louise Hetzd of the Helen M. Knight elementary ele-mentary school gave a short talk on the environmental education ed-ucation program now being carried on in the school. She explained that they hare a small log cabin in which "they carry out true life programs. The latest one planned was on the way Abraham Lincoln lived ,and the food cooked and eaten by the people of earlier days. Mrs. Hetzel also asked for and received an offer of ali types of Grand County rocks and fossils found in this vf; cinity as samples for the school. The monthly pot luck din-ner din-ner will be held this Friday night around six at the club house. All persons interestej in joining the club are cordially cor-dially invited to attend. "Bring your own plates, knives, forks and spoons," a spokesman stated. Coffee and punch will be furnished by the club. After dinner, a series ser-ies of games will begin, in which everyone is expected to- participate. |
