Show Frontier Again Operates at Moab Airport Flights in and out of Canyonlands Airport by Frontier Airlines resumed resum-ed Tuesday afternoon following fol-lowing a shut-down of two weeks, it was announced Wednesday by Tim Mul-ville, Mul-ville, station manager for Frontier. The temporary shut-down was created by a County seal coating project pro-ject which was complete;! a week ago. Since that time, crews have been sweeping loose gravel from the runway in an attempt to get it back into shape for commercial use. Mr. Mulville stated that all the loose gravel has now been removed, and dust is the only problem now facing Frontier crews. Allowing the aircraft to roll out to a normal stop without reversing the engines en-gines for a quicker stop, keens the engines from i'l-gcstiim i'l-gcstiim dust, he stated, and there is ample room on the runway for a normal nor-mal roll-out. He stated, however, that use by the big Convair planes is rapidly rap-idly blowing the dust off the runway, and he expects ex-pects fully normal operations opera-tions to resume in a matter mat-ter of a few days. |
