While he is home the family is planning for a week's fishing trip on the Maul i Forest above Castle Cas-tle Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ross and (he rest of the family, Kelly, K and T will spend a week in the high country. Twinkle and Brandy may-join may-join them for a time, but her husband, Gary Wilcox, Wil-cox, will probably be able to be gone for only a weekend. Family Plans Reunion. . The family of Albert Weber is planning a reunion re-union at Fish Lake, according ac-cording to Mrs. Vcrna Jean Hubbs, who is home from beauty school in Grand Junction. All of the children plan to be there, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weber, Price. Attending are Mr. and Mrs. Vcrn Davis (Francis) and son Steve, Co, and Mrs. Leo Mof-f.tlt Mof-f.tlt (Georgia) and son Mar, Mrs. Bert.t Org. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Weber and Wendy and Jess, Mrs. Vcrna Jean Hubbs and Kim. Harry-Thompson Harry-Thompson and his daughters Gayle and Audrey Au-drey will also attend. Attends Convention. . . Mrs. Sinclair Thompson Thomp-son and Mrs. Grace Peterson Pe-terson attended the American Am-erican Legion Auxiliary Convention at Ramada Inn in Salt Lake City on the 2Hh. They took the scrap book of the Junior Auxiliary up for exhibit, and the booh won a prize. Enjoys Anniversaries. . Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jo Scovill joined Mr. and Mrs. Alma Scovill to celebrate their third and forty-first wedding anniversaries. an-niversaries. The two couples went up Joes Valley and over the mountain. Leona caught her limits of fish, and they all had a wonderful time. Home from California. . Mrs. Jessie Childs, daughter Susan and grandson Jessie are home from a vacation in California. They spent three weehs with Mr. Childs, who manages the Officers Club at the Naval Na-val Air Station at Le-moore, Le-moore, Calif. Jessie brought them home and remained here for a few-days' few-days' visit then returned return-ed to Lemoore. "Talking Books". . . Mrs. Fern Harmon, Librarian, reminds everyone ev-eryone that applications by or for the blind or handicapped may be made at the Library for "Talhing Boohs" and other material for use of blind or handicapped people of all ages. Material w ill come directly di-rectly to the person himself, him-self, and there is no charge, either for material ma-terial or for postage both to and from the State Library. A Friendly Town. . . The Ekherswere involved in a complicated complicat-ed dog pickup, wherein Arthur Ekher brought their pup bach from Grand Junction and left him tied to a lilac bush in Arthur's front yard. Harold and Nell were to pich the pup up that day. But something intervened inter-vened and the Hanks-ville Hanks-ville Ekkers were a day late. Feeling guilty this hot weather, they rushed down expecting the dog to be pretty thirsty and hungry, but there he sat in real dog euphoria, with not only a big pan of water at his disposal, but a plate of food as well. i ' Larry Devereau Little League. . . At this point, the Yankees Yank-ees are in first place with the Dodgers and Mots lied for second. The Angels have had their problems this summer, but a win for ihcin could completely change the picture. (James are played each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, starling at 5:30 and there are always many parents and observers on hand. The Dodger mothers have had an almost al-most unblemished record rec-ord of attendance at every ev-ery game and they fill one section of bleachers completely as they cheer Iheir team on. Mrs. Dave Van Wart Mopped to visit friends on her way home to Denver from a visit to California. She reports they are moving to Dallas Dal-las where Dave, whom many people here will remember from the uranium ur-anium boom days, will be head of a geomapping and interpreting firm in that city. The family will make Dallas their permanent per-manent home, which Ka-thy Ka-thy and the three teenage teen-age girls are looking forward to, having lived all over the world up to this time. Announces Meeting. . . Mayor Hatt asks that property owners south of the tracks attend the City Council meeting Thursday (Today!) to see if they want to accept or reject the new 1-70 right of way proposal south of town. Swimming Party. . . Lee's United Campground Camp-ground played host to contractors, employees and families for a swimming swim-ming and cook out on Tuesday evening. About 30 guests were present, and really enjoyed the newly-completed facility. Tumbling Classes. . . Jach Tillinghast, who has headed a recreational recreation-al program of tumbling and trampoline, will be leaving next week for home. His last class will be Saturday, July 7. A number of children have attended classes regularly and have learned lear-ned a great deal about basic tumbling skills. Mr. Tillinghast has been helped by other boatmen from Canyonlands Expeditions, Ex-peditions, mainly Gerald and Mihe Glasscock. Whether or not the boys maintain the program for next month will depend de-pend on whether there seems to be enough interest in-terest among the youngsters, young-sters, both boys and girls, of Junior High ages. |
