Show Lonnie Hass Qualifies for Special Training Petty Officer Charles Ross of the Naval Recruiting Re-cruiting Service announced announc-ed that Lonnie C. Hass, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Hass of 256 Walker St., Moab, has been selected for special training in the Navy's Advanced Electronics Elec-tronics Field. Lonnie, a 1972 graduate of Grand County High School, entered the Navy on June 29, 1973 through the Provo Navy Recruiting Recruit-ing Station with guaranteed guaran-teed training and advanced advanc-ed pay grade. He was flown from Salt Lake City to San Diego, California 1 to begin seven weeks of Recruit Training. Upon ' completion of this training train-ing Lonnie will have two weeks of paid vacation prior to starting his electronics elec-tronics training. Under the program that Lonnie selected, he not only entered the Navy with advanced pay grade, but will be advanced to Petty Officer after completing the first part of his electronics elec-tronics schooling. He will then complete approximately approxi-mately two years of electronics elec-tronics schooling prior to reporting to his first regular reg-ular duty assignment where he will be working with some of the newest and most advanced electronics elec-tronics equipments in the world.
