Show Dear Sam: Friday afternoon a tragic accident took the life of a 7 year old child. Before going into this letter let-ter I want everyone who went down and helped and left food and drink to know this letter is not meant for them. I have never been so disgusted., dis-gusted., disheartened or discouraged dis-couraged in my life. I am shocked that very few came to help. Many came down, looked around, didn't figure they could help an, I left. We could have used a lot of help dragging and walking. Many of us were there from 2-1 to 30 hours without sleep because we couldn't find rplaeements. Besides lack of help, there wasn't much food. What was brought was taken away when people figured they'd slaved long enough. I realize some of the food would spoil in the heat, but doesn't anyone any-one have ice diesis so It could have been left for lb." men to eat or drink something some-thing in case they were too busy when the fond was brought. My husband said a man came down Saturday night and made a remark something some-thing like, "Some loud mouth woman said Ihey need help down here so Iutc I am. I made (hat remark lo llap I'.nyer who had been there 2fi to 30 hours. I really directed dir-ected the remark lo you, sir, I'm glad you got UiC mes-sage. mes-sage. To the people of Moab who couldn't find limn tn offer help of .some kind, all I can say is, I pray no one In your family needs the help, moral or physical, as Mr. Ring did, and are treated so dishear!.- ening as he was in the search for his child.
