IS. a trial was scheduled in the case of St.ite vs. Robert White on a charge of assault for Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. Phillip Gene Goods pood pled guilty Oct. IS to a charge of Dl'l. Ho was ordered to pay a fine of S-r,0, sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on probation for one year. He was also ordered to attend drur.k driving education classes. The jail sentence was suspended upon payment pay-ment of the fine and successful completion of probation. On Oct. 19 Phillip Lake Nelson appeared before the Court and pled innocent inno-cent to a charge of DUI. Trail was set for Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. Everette Holdridge appeared ap-peared before the Court Oct. 20 on a charge of assault. The witness for the State declined to testify and County Attorney Attor-ney William Benge moved for dismissal. On Oct. 23 James Douglas Warden pled innocent to a charge of theft. A jury trial was set for Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. Also on the 23rd David Lemon appeared on a charge of i assault. Witnesses for the ; State failed to appear and ; County Attorney Benge moved for dismissal. Mike Nick Martinez appeared before the Court Oct. 23 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and DUI. He pled guilty to the first charge and innocent to DUT. He was ordered to reappear Oct. for trial setting and sentencing on the leaving the scene charge. Also on the 23rd Terry Lane Good pled guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Acting on a recommendation of the County Attorney, the Court sentenced Good to an additional 25 days in jail. In a related case, Diana Jackson was charged with distribution of a controlled substance without value. A preliminary prelimin-ary hearing was set for Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. The defendant was released to her parents on a $2,000 property bond and allowed allow-ed to leave the state with her parents. On Oct. 16 Kenneth Casey was, arraigned on a charge of issuing a series of bad checks. He requested request-ed to be allowed to defend himself and signed a written waiver of counsel in open court. The arraignment ar-raignment was continued and bail was set at S9.000. On Oct. 18 Casey appeared ap-peared before the Court and requested a preliminary prelimin-ary hearing, which was scheduled for Oct. 24. He asked to be released on his own recognizance. The request was refused, but bail was lowered to $5,000. On Oct. 23 Casey waived preliminary hear ing and was ordered to appear in District Court on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Bond was continued and he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff. On Oct. 23 a preliminary prelimin-ary hearing was set for Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. for Jacob J. Lamorie on a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon. Bail was set at $7,500 and the defendant was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff. On Oct. 24 Walter Kenneth Mateer pled guilty to a charge of unlawful taking of protected protect-ed wildlife. He was ordered to pay a fine of $750 and his rifle was confiscated. On Oct. 24 Reginald Sanderson pled guilty to a charge of DUI and was sentenced to 40 days in jail, fined $300 and placed on probation for one year under the supervision of the Rossevelt Adult Probation Pro-bation Dept. The jail sentence was suspended upon payment of the fine and successful completion of probation. |
