Show Utah Tech Survey Shows Student Employability Sixty-seven per cent of Utah Tech's students from last year are employed em-ployed full time in the same or related field they studied at the college, col-lege, according to a recent re-cent student survey. The survey was of 1,313 students who were graduates, those who finished fin-ished particular educational educa-tional goals, and others who left school for various var-ious reasons. Nearly 91 per cent of these students were contacted. Other figures gathered showed that 6 per cent were employed full time in a non-related field, 3 per cent were unem ployed and seeking employment, em-ployment, 19 per cent were continuing their education ed-ucation at Utah Tech or some other college or university, and 5per cent were unavailable for employment em-ployment because of military mil-itary service, illness or other reasons. Dr. R. H. Hansen, Vice President at the college, says this year's survey was different that prior years because the college col-lege was required to follow-up on all students rather than justthegrad-uates. justthegrad-uates. Hansen also says these latest employment figures continue to support sup-port statements from vo- cational-technical educators edu-cators that vocational-technical vocational-technical fields provide some of the best chances for employment. |
