Show T-Birds Fall Victim To Emery,. 37-15 The Moab T-Birds were downed for the second time by Emery with a score of 37-15 in a game played at ' 4:00 p.m., Oct. 14, on the Moab field. The strong Emery team ran over the T-Birds who had trouble on defense during dur-ing the first half. Emery scored early in the first quarter, but missed the conversion. con-version. Gregg Holland, the Moab tailback, ran strongly-for strongly-for the T-Bird team ' and made a 29 yard run in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Emery's Em-ery's fine offense made three touchdowns. The second sec-ond touchdown came on a beautiful pass from Moab's 42 to the goal. The Spartans made two more; one around an end and the other on a gallop up the middle. Emery Em-ery missed all of their first four point after tries. . . Emery scored soon after (he half and again missed the conversion. Moab, on a 55 yard charge by Gregg , Holland, finally scored. The T-Birds made the two point. conversion with a pass from Steve Stout to Steve Keck. Moab held Emery through Jhe third half, but failed to : score again; themselves. In the last quarter, Emery scored their . last touchdown which put them to far ahead for the game T-Birds. The T-Birds scored once more on a run by Steve Stout who then booted a perfect placement place-ment for Moab's last score. The T-Birds have yet to see a victory, but still thsy come fighting back at every game. |
