Show Salvation Army Begins Annual Fund Drive Here The Salvation Army Service Ser-vice Extension Committee in Moab, headed by Mrs. Han-na Han-na M. Pittman and assisted by John and Alice Stocks, will launch its annual appeal for funds during the week of November 18th. Harm Brcukelman, The Salvation Army Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Division state- representative, represent-ative, will be in Moab to conduct con-duct the annual appeal. Funds derived from the annual appeal are used for an umbrella of services to the Moab area. Needy and destitute persons in Moab during 1967 received a variety var-iety of services such as transportation of a heart patient pa-tient to surgery, financial help to a day care center and transportation for a crippled crip-pled child. Such services as a disaster disas-ter and emergency assistance assist-ance fund, a state prison visitation vis-itation and assistance pro- gram and a missing persons service are made possible locally through the Moab fund drive. In addition, in Denver Tlie Salvation Army provides alcoholic rehabilitation rehabili-tation centers and assistance to unwed mothers at Booth, Memorhd Hospital for the states of Colorado, Wyoming Montana and Utah. In 17, 345 unwed mothers were served at Booth and approximately 100 alcoholics wore fully rehabilitated with many more getting a belter grasp on their alcholic problem. prob-lem. Each resident of the Moab community is asked to make a meaningful contribution this fund appeal so the ongoing on-going program of the Salvation Salva-tion Army can continue its successful effort in always satisfying the need at Uio point of need.
