Richard Chrislensen. a representative rep-resentative of Burrows-Smith Burrows-Smith and Co., a bonding company of Salt Lake City, met wilh the council to make plans for special improvement improve-ment districts to pay for curb and gutters over a ten year bond program. Said Mayor Winford Bunce, the city hopes to be able to have the remaining curbs and gutters, and sidewalks where desired, installed during dur-ing this program in the 25 blocks of the old section of town, as well as along Fourth North and oilier side streets bers of Ihe Swanson family. These fcire typical typ-ical of the fall flowers that are presently found throughout the city. in the city where this improvement im-provement work has not yet b.-'cn done. Residents of these sections will be advised by letter and by legal advertisement of public hearings to be held on the subject. Final planning plan-ning will be done this fall, continued Mayor Bunce, and the actual pouring of the new curbs and gutters next spring. In other business, city council members opened bids on purchase of a steam cleaner, the contract going to Plateau Supply for a bid of $1175. Delivery is expected expect-ed around mid-September. |
