Show Devils Slate Grid Opener Friday Against Emery A welcome surprise for Moab football fans was announced an-nounced this week by Coach Glen Richcson, who stated he had been able to schedule sched-ule a home game for this week. The Grand high school Red Devils will open their season Friday on the Moab turf against ag-ainst always-tough Emery high school. Game time is 8 p.m., Rich-eson Rich-eson stated. The high school is soiling season reserved tickets for $5, and indications are that a large number will bo purchased pur-chased by regular fans. Ample Am-ple seating for both reserved and general admission is available with the new grandstand grand-stand completed two years ago by the Moab Rotary Club. Following the opener this week against Emery, the Devils will enter a busy season. sea-son. They will travel to Fruita, Colorado on Sept. 13 for a game there; and will return home the following week for a September 20 contest with Cortez, Colo. On Sept. 27 they begin the league season with a game at Monticello and will travel tra-vel to Delta, Colorado on October 4. October 9 finds the Devils playing at Dove Crefk; Oct. 18 will pit the Devils against Notre Dame at Price; October Octo-ber 25 lists the Devils at East Carbon and the final league game is slated on November 1 at Blanding. |
